Gabriel Zimmerman

Gabriel Zimmerman is a skilled propulsion engineer at Ursa Major since July 2022, with previous experience as a mechanical development engineer at Moog Space and Defense Group from August 2017 to May 2022, where responsibilities included leading technical meetings and advancing programmatic decisions. Prior to that, Gabriel served as the technical lead for the Cornell Autonomous Sailboat Team, managing a team of 15 undergraduates on an autonomous sailboat project, and taught rock climbing skills as an instructor for Cornell Outdoor Education. An undergraduate co-op experience at NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory involved supporting mechanical design and testing for satellite deploy mechanisms. Gabriel's education includes a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Cornell University and an Associate’s Degree in Arts from Bard High School Early College.
