Daniel Malmer

Daniel Malmer has a diverse work experience spanning over a decade. Daniel most recently worked as a Senior Software Engineer at Ursa Space Systems starting in November 2020. Prior to that, they were a Software Engineer at EagleView from September 2016 to October 2020.

Before transitioning to software engineering, Daniel worked as a Research Assistant at Dowell Lab from August 2013 to July 2016. During this time, they designed probabilistic models related to genetic inheritance, implemented algorithms to process large-scale genome datasets, and published two peer-reviewed articles.

Daniel also gained experience as a Software Engineer at Markit On Demand from August 2010 to June 2013, and as a Research Assistant at Cowen Lab from May 2009 to May 2010, studying genetic pathway conservation in yeast.

Daniel's early career included roles as a Teaching Assistant at Tufts University from September 2008 to May 2010, and as a Research Associate at the University of Maine from May 2008 to August 2008.

Daniel Malmer received their B.S. degree in Computer Science and Environmental Studies from Tufts University in 2010. Daniel later pursued further education and obtained their M.S. degree in Computer Science from the University of Colorado Boulder, which they completed between 2013 and 2016.
