Dave Shields

Dave Shields has a diverse and extensive work experience in the software engineering and technology industry. Beginning in 1995, they worked as a Sr. Technical Consultant at Sears, Roebuck and Co. until 2001. From 2001 to 2013, they were the Owner of their own software entrepreneurship and digital imaging company. In 2013, Dave joined Punchkick Interactive Inc. as a Native App Developer, where they led various projects and achieved significant milestones such as co-developing an iOS prototype app and leading a team of Android developers for the Marriott flagship reservations app.

In 2015, they joined Arity as a Sr. Engineering Manager, where they held two roles: Sr. Engineering Manager - Product Performance & Quality and Sr. Engineering Manager, Mobile Telematics. During their time at Arity, they displayed strong leadership and crisis management skills while overseeing code remediation and establishing quality control processes.

In 2021, Dave served as the Director of Quality Engineering at project44 for a few months. Currently, they are employed as a Sr. Software Engineer at Ursa Space Systems since August 2022.

Dave Shields attended Principia College from 1979 to 1983. During this time, they pursued a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree with a minor in Computer Science. Dave'sprimary areas of study were Sociology and Computer Science.
