Eric Davis

Director Of Platform Analytics at Ursa Space Systems

Eric Davis has a diverse work experience in various companies and roles. Eric is currently working at Ursa Space Systems as an Analytics Team Manager since September 2022. Prior to this, they worked as a Senior Radar Systems Engineer at the same company starting from September 2021.

Before Ursa Space Systems, Eric worked at SRC from 2017 to 2021. Eric started as a Systems Engineer in June 2017 and later became a Lead ML/AI Systems Engineer in January 2020. Eric remained in this role until September 2021.

Eric's professional journey began at GE Oil & Gas in 2013. Eric started as an Electrical Engineer in the Edison Engineering Development Program, where they designed hardware for scientific, industrial, and sub-sea sensor applications. Eric also conducted research on signal processing for distributed sensors systems. Later, they worked as an Electrical Engineer, focusing on electronic hardware and firmware design for radiation science and industrial sensor applications. Eric was involved in designing high-speed analog, digital, and mixed signal systems, as well as PCB level power systems and communication interfaces.

Prior to GE Oil & Gas, Eric gained experience as a Systems Engineer Co-op at SRC in 2012, where they worked on developing automated configuration and test software for electronic warfare and distributed computing applications. Eric also contributed to the optimization of distributed synthetic aperture radar (SAR) image processing.

Eric's earliest work experience was as a Manufacturing Engineer Co-op at GE Energy in 2011.

Overall, Eric has a strong background in analytics, radar systems engineering, ML/AI systems engineering, and electrical engineering with a focus on hardware design and sensor applications.

Eric Davis has a strong educational background in engineering. Eric first attended Finger Lakes Community College from 2008 to 2010, where they earned an Associate of Science (A.S.) degree in Engineering Science. After completing their time at community college, they transferred to Northeastern University, where they pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering. Eric attended Northeastern University from 2010 to 2013. Building on their bachelor's degree, they then pursued a Master of Science (MS) degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering at the Georgia Institute of Technology. Eric successfully completed their master's degree program from 2013 to 2017.
