Jan Schlemmer

Jan Schlemmer has a diverse work experience in both academic and industrial settings. They began their professional journey as an intern at Badan Pengkajian dan Penerapan Teknologi (BPPT), where they focused on fermentation with A. terreus and C. acremonium. Following this, they interned at the University of California Riverside and later worked as a visiting graduate researcher at the University of California, Los Angeles. Jan then went on to become a researcher PhD candidate at the Helmholtz Centre for Infection Research, where they remained until 2022. In 2022, they joined the Helmholtz Institute for Pharmaceutical Research Saarland as a postdoctoral research scientist. Currently, they are serving as assistance to the head of production at URSAPHARM Arzneimittel GmbH.

Jan Schlemmer completed a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Biotechnologie at Hochschule Mannheim from 2012 to 2015. After that, they pursued a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Biotechnology at the same institution from 2015 to 2017. Currently, Jan Schlemmer is studying at Universität des Saarlandes, where they are working towards a Doctor of Science degree in Pharmazeutische Biotechnologie from 2017 to 2022.
