Marcelo Lopez has a diverse work experience spanning over several companies and roles. Marcelo began their career at Infocorp in 2003 as a Developer in ASP.NET projects. Marcelo then joined TCS in 2004, where they worked as a Senior Software Consultant and Project Manager. Marcelo specialized in .NET technologies and stayed with TCS until 2007. In 2010, Marcelo became a Member of the Board at Cámara Uruguaya de Tecnologías de la Información, a position they held until 2014.

In 2008, Marcelo co-founded UruIT, a software development studio that partners with companies to provide creative design and engineering solutions to create digital products. While still involved in UruIT, Marcelo also co-founded several other companies. In 2011, they co-founded Dynamix - Digital Sales Solutions, and in 2013, they co-founded Conexio Group, CRMGamified, and Nearsure. Marcelo served as a Co-founder and Board Member in all these companies.

Marcelo's most recent role is as Chairman of the Digital Wire Group, starting in January 2021. Prior to that, they were the Chief Executive Officer of Digital Wire Group from 2019 to 2020.

Throughout their career, Marcelo has demonstrated their expertise in software development, project management, and entrepreneurial ventures.

Marcelo Lopez attended Universidad ORT Uruguay from 1998 to 2004, where they obtained a degree in Software Engineering with a focus on Computer Science. In 2016, they enrolled in the Executive Program at Columbia Business School, specializing in Entrepreneurship and Competitiveness in Latin America.
