David Lauer

David Lauer has over 20 years of experience in the technology and finance industries. From 1999 to 2011, they were the Owner of Step Ahead Technologies, Inc. David then became the CTO of Cowbird, Inc. from 2011 to 2014. During this time, they were also the Co-Founder and CTO of KOR Group and the Chairman and Co-Founder of Healthy Markets Association. From 2015 to 2019, they were the Independent Director of Aequitas NEO Exchange and the Managing Partner of Mile 59. David then became the Co-Founder of Urvin AI and Plia in 2019. In 2020, they joined Springer Nature as a Founding Editorial Board Member for the AI and Ethics Journal. Most recently, they became the CEO of Urvin Finance in 2021.

David Lauer received their BA in Economics, with minors in Computer Science and Philosophy, from Brandeis University in 2002. Following this, they obtained an MA in International Economics and Finance from both Esade and Brandeis International Business School in 2003. Prior to this, they attended Cherry Hill East from 1994 to 1998. In 2013, they obtained a certification in Computational Neuroscience from Coursera.
