Esperanza Perez

Esperanza Perez is a skilled professional with extensive experience in environmental science and education. Currently serving as the West Coast Collaborative Co-lead and Physical Scientist - DERA Tribal Coordinator and School Bus Lead at the US Environmental Protection Agency since November 2020, Esperanza also holds the title of Global Climate Leader at The Climate Reality Project, where engagement in public speaking and media strategies was developed through training with Al Gore and renowned experts. Prior roles include Team Lead at CORE, Environmental Educator with the Peace Corps, and AmeriCorps Member at City Year, where efforts were focused on improving student outcomes. Educational qualifications include a Master of Science in Environmental Studies from Antioch University New England and a Bachelor of Science in Earth System Science from UC Irvine.
