Evonne Marzouk

Evonne Marzouk is a seasoned communications and outreach professional with over two decades of experience in environmental policy and community engagement. Notably, Marzouk served as a Communications and Outreach Specialist at the US Environmental Protection Agency from September 1999 to June 2023, where leadership was provided to a communications team focused on community revitalization and sustainability initiatives. In this role, Marzouk implemented various communication strategies, including social media and digital content, and contributed to revitalizing the Smart Growth Network. Additionally, Marzouk held the position of Acting Associate Division Director, where strategic planning and team leadership were emphasized to foster equitable and sustainable community development. Earlier experiences include founding the Torah-based environmental organization Canfei Nesharim and serving as a Legislative Assistant for the Coalition for the Environment and Jewish Life. Marzouk's career began as an Editor at Bancroft Press, and an educational background includes a B.A. in Writing and Religious Studies from The Johns Hopkins University.
