Monica Norton Mouallem is a Physical Scientist at the US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) since June 2024, following experience as an Assistant Project Manager at GZA GeoEnvironmental, Inc. and SESI Consulting Engineers. Prior roles include Staff Geologist at Roux Associates and various academic positions at Rutgers University, where significant contributions included serving as a Teaching Assistant and participating in outreach as a Rutgers Science Explorer Fellow. Monica holds a Master of Science in Geological Sciences with a specialty in Hydrogeology from Rutgers University, complemented by a Bachelor of Science in Geology from Beloit College. Notable achievements include presenting professional posters at major geological conferences and receiving multiple academic awards. Prior to their scientific career, Monica gained valuable experience as a lifeguard and swim instructor.
