Mari Silbey is an experienced professional in wireless research and communications strategy, currently serving as the Senior Director at US Ignite since June 2018. In this role, Mari leads various wireless research programs and has been the Program Director for the Platforms for Advanced Wireless Research (PAWR) program since 2021, as well as the Chief Program Officer for the National Spectrum Consortium since 2023. Prior to US Ignite, Mari was the Senior Editor at Light Reading from May 2015 to May 2018, focusing on broadband infrastructure and smart cities. Mari's career also includes work as an independent journalist, analyst, and consultant from January 2006 to May 2015, alongside roles at Limelight Networks and Motorola, where responsibilities included content development and editorial management. Mari holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Duke University.
