Ekon George

Ekon George currently serves as the Executive Assistant to the Commander at the Navy Recruiting Command since January 2023, while continuing a role as a Senior Fellow at The Severn Leadership Group since August 2013. Ekon has extensive experience in the U.S. Navy, including positions such as Executive Officer aboard USS Scranton SSN 756 and Prospective Executive Officer in July 2020. Previous roles include Leadership Facilitator at the United States Naval Academy, Weapons Officer on USS Montpelier SSN 765, and various positions aboard USS Jimmy Carter SSN 23. Ekon's education includes a Master's Degree in Leadership Education and Development from the University of Maryland, a Joint Professional Military Education Phase-1 from the U.S. Naval War College, and a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Prairie View A&M University.
