James Saunders

James Saunders is a seasoned cybersecurity professional currently serving as the Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) and Senior Advisor for Cloud and Cybersecurity at the U.S. Office of Personnel Management since March 2021. Prior to this role, James held key positions at the U.S. Small Business Administration, where responsibilities included leading cybersecurity programs and overseeing security operations as CISO and Information Security Director. Additional experience includes co-founding CodeOrange Security and serving as Deputy Program Manager at Defense Point Security, where James managed teams supporting high-profile organizations such as the Security Exchange Commission and the Social Security Administration. James holds a Master of Science in Cybersecurity from the University of Maryland Global Campus and multiple certificates in leadership from Cornell University.
