Darren Swenson

Founder & CEO at US Post Acute Care

Dr. Swenson brings over 20 years of experience as a physician executive to his role as founder and leader of US Post Acute Care. His vision is to create an environment of action and accountability based on a high level of engagement between facility administration, clinical staff, patients and family. Dr. Swenson’s clinical and executive experience has covered a broad range of acute and post-acute inpatient care settings. He is triple board certified in Internal Medicine, Quality Assurance and Utilization Review, and as a Physician Executive.

Prior to founding US PAC, Dr. Swenson was the Division Vice President of Graduate Medical Education (GME) and Chief Medical Officer for a 340-bed hospital for Hospital Corporation of America (HCA). During his leadership tenure, he led a $30 Million service line development of over 200 GME residency positions. From 2008 to 2014, Dr. Swenson was the Regional Director of Medical Affairs for IPC Healthcare, where he led the growth of the region through practice acquisitions and payer contract relationships. From 2002 to 2008, he held positions as a hospitalist, and Medical Director for InPatient Physicians Network. Dr. Swenson completed his residency training at Memorial Hospital University Medical Center in Savannah, Georgia in 2002.
