Marika de Nie Puyana

Marika de Nie Puyana is a seasoned sailing professional currently serving as a US Coast Guard 50 ton Yacht Captain with the US Coast Guard Auxiliary since November 2023. In this role, Marika provides safety, vessel operation, and sailing instruction to new fractional owners and club members at the CGSC, while covering essential topics such as navigation, plotting orientation, and USCG regulations. Since November 2020, Marika has also been a Sailing Instructor with US Sailing, and has operated a self-employed venture, Toi & Moi design, since January 2006, creating modern and whimsical appliquéd children's tee-shirts for ages newborn to 10 years. Previously, Marika worked as a Sales Representative at FUJIFILM SonoSite, Inc. from February 2000 to June 2003, focusing on growing customer bases and identifying new business opportunities.
