Ruth Ellis

Ruth Ellis is an experienced professional currently serving as a USA Pickleball Ambassador for Southeast and Southwest Washington DC, focusing on the development of youth programs and playing facilities. Ruth has a strong background in clinical and regulatory strategy, having held positions such as Senior Affiliate Clinical Consultant at Biologics Consulting, where responsibilities included conducting gap assessments and managing regulatory submissions. Prior to that, Ruth served as Director of Clinical Development at Aeras, leading cross-functional teams in clinical trials for tuberculosis vaccines. Ruth's tenure at the National Institutes of Health involved overseeing early phase clinical trials for malaria vaccines as the Head of the Clinical Group. Additionally, experience includes conducting clinical research at the Armed Forces Research Institute of Medical Science. Ruth holds an MD from the University of Illinois College of Medicine and an MPH from the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus.
