Emily le Coz

Emily Le Coz serves as the Executive Editor-In-Chief at Suncoast Searchlight, a position held since September 2024. Prior to this role, Emily has accumulated extensive experience in investigative journalism, including significant positions such as Investigations Editor and Senior Investigative Reporter at USA TODAY since January 2020, and Managing Editor of the National Data & Investigations Team at GateHouse Media from July 2017 to January 2020. Emily's career began as a City Government Reporter and Business Reporter at Northeast Mississippi Daily Journal, with additional roles at the Clarksdale Press Register and Peregrine Systems. Academic credentials include a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism from the University of Minnesota and an exchange program in French Studies at Université de Montpellier Paul-Valéry.
