Rachel G. Bowers

Rachel G. Bowers is a seasoned journalist with extensive experience in sports editing and content strategy. Currently serving as the Senior Editor for Audience & Operations at USA TODAY since August 2022, Rachel oversees audience development for USA TODAY Sports. Prior to this role, Rachel worked at The Athletic as Senior Editor for MLB, managing coverage for teams such as the Yankees and Mets and coordinating live events. Experience also includes a significant tenure at Boston Globe Media as Assistant Sports Editor, where responsibilities included leading coverage for major sports events and training staff. Rachel's background also features roles at the Athens Banner-Herald and early career positions at The Villages Daily Sun, The Red & Black Newspaper, and Score Atlanta.
