Robert Hanashiro

Robert Hanashiro is a seasoned professional in the field of photojournalism with extensive experience spanning several decades. As the co-founder of Sports Shooter Academy since 2004, Robert has played a crucial role in providing hands-on workshops for aspiring photographers, fostering their skills through practical experience and expert mentorship. In addition, Robert serves as the editor and publisher of SportsShooter.com since 1996, contributing to the online photography community. As a staff photographer for Gannett/USA TODAY since 1988, Robert has captured significant moments in news and sports. Robert's earlier experience includes serving as the chief photographer for Visalia Times-Delta from 1979 to 1989. Robert holds a degree from California State University, Fresno, where education was completed from 1973 to 1978.
