Saleen M. is a seasoned journalist with a strong background in writing and media communications. Currently serving as a Staff Writer at USA TODAY since March 2022, Saleen develops and writes engaging national stories for a vast audience. Previously, Saleen worked as a Staff Writer for The Virginian-Pilot from May 2018 to March 2022, where a range of topics including crime, local government, and community events were covered, alongside producing feature articles on local arts and human interest. Starting as a Graduate Assistant at the University of Georgia, Saleen enhanced the institution's public relations through feature articles and press releases. Saleen holds a Master of Arts in Journalism from the University of Georgia and two bachelor's degrees from Virginia Wesleyan University in English/Language Arts Teacher Education and English Language and Literature.
