Jonna Ocampo, Ph.D., is a distinguished scientist, author, and coach with extensive experience in biomedical research and education. As the Founder and Science Officer at CD-SEAS Mission Microgravity since 2014, Jonna Ocampo has focused on the synthesis and evaluation of antimicrobials in space. Jonna's contributions to children's literature include the award-winning book "On My Way to the Lilikoi Tree." Ocampo has served as a Scientist-Astronaut Candidate for Project PoSSUM, a Sports Performance Coach at USA Weightlifting, and has been involved in various scientific presentations and research tasks, including a role as an Analog Astronaut Test Subject for NASA. Jonna's educational credentials include a Ph.D. in Microbiology and Cell Science from the University of Florida and a Master of Science in Molecular Medicine from the University of South Florida, among other degrees in related fields.
