Kara Wattenbarger

Kara Wattenbarger is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in product development, operations, and risk management within the insurance industry. Currently serving as Auto Product Development Director at USAA since August 2024, Kara is responsible for launching and managing new products in strategic markets. Previously, as Senior Product Manager at National General, Kara focused on achieving growth and profitability in New York. At Allstate, roles included Zone Operations Senior Leader, where oversight of communications and process support was managed for numerous agencies, and Project & Portfolio Management Expert, leading complex project teams. Kara's early career included positions as Product Operations Manager at Allstate and Underwriting & Product Manager at Encompass Insurance, showcasing a solid foundation in underwriting and operational efficiency. An alumnus of St. Bonaventure University, Kara holds a BS in Biology.
