Kathleen Ores Walsh

Kathleen Ores Walsh, FCAS, currently serves as the Chief Underwriting Officer at USAA starting April 2024 and is also a member of the Board of Directors at the Casualty Actuarial Society since October 2023. Prior to this, Kathleen held the position of Chief Actuary - Personal Lines at The Hartford from August 2023 to April 2024 and served as Chair & Past Chair of the Board at the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety from January 2021 to August 2023. Kathleen's experience at USAA includes roles as Vice President of Pricing & Product Analytics from June 2018 to August 2023. Other notable positions include Vice President of Personal Lines at COUNTRY Financial® and Personal Auto Product Manager at American Family Insurance. Kathleen's early career includes research in statistical brain imaging at Waisman Lab for Brain Imaging and Behavior. Academic credentials include a Master's degree in Mathematics from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and a Bachelor's degree in Zoology/Animal Biology from the University of Montana, along with executive education at the University of Chicago Booth School of Business.
