Zayaan Rahman is currently an undergraduate research assistant at The University of Texas at Austin, focusing on the application of computer science in astrophysics and working on a publication involving machine learning models to estimate star temperature from photometric data. With experience as a software research and development intern at Trend Micro, Zayaan deployed AWS Lambda functions and improved APIs for extensive global customer usage. Zayaan has also contributed to event organization for Freetail Hackers, specifically managing HackTX 2023 and Hack the Future. Additional accomplishments include participating as a hacker at TreeHacks, developing a vocabulary learning app using OpenAI's GPT-3, and completing a research internship in machine learning within healthcare at The University of Texas at Dallas. Zayaan is pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science at The University of Texas at Austin, having graduated from Plano Sr High School.
