Dmitry Smirnov

Dmitry Smirnov has extensive work experience in various roles related to DevOps, cloud automation, web development, and software engineering.

Dmitry is currently serving as the Head of DevSecOps at UDX since December 2022. In this role, they are responsible for developing an automation strategy for the development, build, and deployment stages, ensuring the security of the software factory workflow, and designing CI/CD configuration standards.

Before that, Dmitry worked as a DevOps & Cloud Automation Engineer at UDX from August 2020 to December 2022. In this role, they developed tenanted deployments Docker Images through Octopus Deploy, used PowerShell scripting to invoke APIs and handle responses, and implemented Firebase Cloud Functions NodeJS to interact with Github, Kubernetes API, and Firebase Database.

From May 2019 to August 2020, Dmitry worked on mapping and delivering RETS data at UDX. Dmitry analyzed, mapped, and normalized RETS data and delivered it for MLS brands through a microservices system into the main application.

Before UDX, Dmitry gained experience in various other roles. Dmitry worked as a Marketing Workflow Automation specialist from January 2019 to May 2019, where they normalized Hubspot prospect and customer data and developed Node.js modules for API integration.

From January 2018 to January 2019, Dmitry worked in Cloud Infrastructure Development, focusing on Docker orchestration using Kubernetes on GCP, Docker image development for production environments, and optimizing security and performance for WordPress and GCP Cloud SQL.

In the Real Estate Application and Service Development field, Dmitry was involved in MLS integration, WordPress ReactJS development, and real-time MLS synchronization for Red Door Company and Copper Hill Real Estate from January 2017 to January 2018. Dmitry also worked on RESO compliant real estate data aggregation and normalization.

In their earlier career, Dmitry worked as a Dockerized WordPress Engineer at Lockheed Martin, focusing on codeigniter development and AWS Cloudfront management. Dmitry also developed 12-Factor driven Docker containers.

Additionally, Dmitry gained experience as a Cloud Automation Engineer at Transact Campus Inc from November 2020 onwards. Dmitry automated CI/CD pipelines, managed Octopus Deploy resources using Terraform, and used Octopus Deploy Step Templates as deployment process modules.

Before that, Dmitry worked at Water Tower as a Senior Web Application Developer and Unity 3D Developer, managing projects, customizing software features, and developing applications using technologies such as MooSocial network software, Unity 3D engine, and C#. Dmitry also worked as a Web Application Developer, focusing on backend development and automated testing.

During their tenure at iRessources, Dmitry worked as a Web Developer, building websites based on WordPress, developing plugins and themes, and providing support for an e-commerce multi-shops project based on Prestashop.

Dmitry Smirnov started their career as a Junior Web Developer at WebProrab, specializing in construction, renovation, and home comfort. In this role, they gained experience in web development.

Dmitry Smirnov completed their Master of Engineering degree in Radio engineering at Kharkiv National University of Radioelectronics. Dmitry attended the university from 2007 to 2012.
