Michelle Broderick has a long history of working in marketing and executive roles in the tech industry. Michelle began their career in 2006 as a Marketing Director at Yelp.com, where they led a remote team of Community Managers and successfully executed a rapid multi-city rollout strategy. In 2011, they joined Uber, Inc as a Marketing Director, launching the company's third market in Seattle and ensuring wild adoption in every city the company set up operations. Michelle then moved to Geocaching in 2012 as VP of Marketing, where they helped update the game from being played with a standalone GPS device to being discovered by anyone with a smartphone. In 2014, they became Chief Marketing Officer at Simple Finance, where they worked on developing a strategy to prove that banking doesn't have to be a nasty industry. In 2017, they joined Cozy as a Board Member, and after successfully selling the business, they rolled off the board. Michelle then joined Automattic in 2018 as SVP Marketing, and in 2020 they became a Board Member at Ada Developers Academy and Chief Marketing Officer at Esalen Institute. Finally, in 2022 they joined USAFacts as Chief Marketing Officer, working on a mission to mine data so people don't have to.

Michelle Broderick attended Western Washington University from 1995 to 1999. In 2016, they attended Stanford University Graduate School of Business and Yale School of Management, studying Behavioral Economics.
