Aaron Muirhead

Aaron Muirhead has a diverse work experience, starting with their current position as a Software Implementation Engineer at USAN, Inc. starting in June 2023. Prior to this, they worked at Genesis10 as a Dev10 Full Stack Software Developer from January 2023 to May 2023. Before their software development roles, Aaron worked as an Environmental Microbiologist at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention from January 2022 to August 2022.

Aaron also has experience in public health, as they served as a COVID-19 Epidemiologist Fellow at the Rollins School of Public Health at Emory University from November 2020 to January 2022. Aaron was also a Fulbright Scholar, conducting research on Leptospirosis prevention in urban communities of Salvador, Brazil. Unfortunately, their Fulbright grant was terminated early due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

In addition, Aaron worked as a Graduate Research Assistant at the Georgia State School of Public Health from August 2017 to February 2020. Aaron also gained customer service experience as an Applecare Advisor at Apple from June 2017 to February 2020.

Furthermore, Aaron worked as an Environmental Science Teaching Assistant at Dekalb Academy of Technology & Environment Charter School from January 2019 to May 2019. Prior to that, they were a Research Assistant at Grady Health System, where they conducted secondary data analysis on the utilization of clinical resources for diabetes patients.

Lastly, Aaron started their career as a Graduate Administrative Assistant at Georgia State University from August 2016 to May 2017. Overall, they have a strong background in software development, public health, research, and teaching.

Aaron Muirhead completed a Master of Public Health degree in Biostatistics from Georgia State University from 2016 to 2019. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor's of Science in Biology from Georgia Southern University, where they studied Biology/Biological Sciences from 2011 to 2015. In addition to their educational background, Aaron Muirhead also obtained two additional certifications: Dev10 Full Stack Java Developer from Genesis10 in April 2023 and AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner from Amazon Web Services (AWS) in May 2023.
