Liv Williamsen has held a variety of roles in the medical field since 2003. Liv started their career with Ethicon Endo-Surgery, Inc. as a Full Line Account Manager and then moved on to become a Bariatric Account Manager from 2006 to 2003. In 2011, they joined Apollo Endosurgery as the Director of Sales & Clinical, where they were responsible for shifting surgeons and endoscopists approach to patient care by introducing innovative novel technology. Liv then moved to TransEnterix, Inc. in 2019 as the US Director Clinical Marketing, where they were responsible for coaching, leading and developing the Clinical Program Manager team. In 2020, they joined ExplORer Surgical as the Vice President Marketing & Development and Strategic Advisor, where they were responsible for building the upstream and downstream marketing function and deliver 2x growth in lead generation. Finally, in 2021, they joined USGI Medical as the VP Medical Affairs, responsible for leading and managing the U.S. clinical study to gain FDA approval, and Phenomix Sciences as the Chief Operating Officer.
Liv Williamsen holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Augsburg University, where they studied Business Administration and Management, General. Liv also holds a Bachelor of Arts - BA from DePauw University, where they majored in Asian Studies and minored in Chemistry. In addition, Liv was a Research Fellow Multi-Cultural Business at International Christian University, where they studied Japanese. Liv has also obtained two certifications: Coaching Skills for Leaders and Managers from LinkedIn in December 2018, and Social Media Marketing: Optimization from LinkedIn in December 2018.
