Technical Project Lead And Senior Systems Engineer at Ushr

Dennis Breton has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Dennis started their career in 1997 at ADA Warner Music Group, where they worked in sales and marketing as an account executive for seven years. In 2004, they founded their own business, PC MD Computer Services, and successfully operated it until 2007.

From 2007 to 2008, Dennis worked as an intern/contractor at Mercedes Benz Research and Development, North America, where they were involved in electronic design and simulation. Dennis also conducted research on FPGA feasibility and assisted in translating technical specifications.

In 2008, Dennis joined Hamilton Sundstrand as an Aerospace Model Based Design Engineer on a contract basis. Dennis contributed to the Software Automation Group and played a key role in software development.

From 2008 to 2010, they worked at Behr-Hella Thermocontrol GmbH as an Automotive Embedded Application Software Design Engineer. Dennis'sresponsibilities included software design, code generation, automation, and software verification and validation testing.

In 2010, Dennis worked as a Contract Embedded Controls Software Engineer at Detroit Diesel, focusing on controls software development.

In 2011, they joined Magna Electronics as a Senior Engineer in Driveline Systems Application Software, where they were responsible for the integration, development, and release of embedded electronic control software for automotive powertrain and driveline components. Dennis also automated processes and generated code.

At Magna Electronics, Dennis held multiple positions, including Software Engineer - Motor Controls from 2015 to 2016, where they developed embedded electronic motor control software using Model Based Design. From 2016 to 2019, they worked as an ADAS Systems Engineer, specializing in forward cameras and being responsible for object detection, lane detection, and pedestrian detection verification.

Currently, Dennis is employed at Ushr Inc. since 2019, where they serve as a Senior Systems Engineer and Technical Project Lead. Dennis leads projects related to HD mapping specification development for autonomous driving applications.

Dennis Breton completed their education with a MSE (Master of Science in Engineering) in Computer Engineering from the University of Michigan - Rackham Graduate School, which they attended from 2008 to 2015. Prior to that, they obtained their BSE (Bachelor of Science in Engineering) in Computer Engineering from the University of Michigan-Dearborn, where they studied from 2002 to 2006. Additionally, Dennis has obtained multiple certifications in various Python-related courses from Coursera, including topics such as data retrieval, processing, visualization, and machine learning.
