Paul Aikins has a diverse work experience in the field of finance and surveying. Paul started their career as a Survey Technician at Jeff French & Associates in 1998, where they gained foundational knowledge and skills in surveying. Paul then moved on to the Tippecanoe County Surveying Office in 2001, working as a Project Manager until 2003. Since 2003, they have been associated with USI Consultants, Inc., where they have held various roles including Bridge Dept Project Manager, Financial Controller and HR Manager, Director of Finance and Human Resources, and currently serves as the Vice President of Finance.
Paul Aikins has a Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering with a structural emphasis from Purdue University, which they completed between 1998 and 2003. During the same period, they also studied Land Surveying at Purdue University. In 2013 and 2014, Paul attended Indiana University–Purdue University Indianapolis, where they pursued a field of study in Accounting. Paul has additional certifications, including ACEC Leadership Training Certification from ACEC, obtained in 2014. In 2008, they obtained a Licensed Professional Engineer certification and a Licensed Professional Land Surveyor certification from the Indiana Professional Licensing Agency. Paul also holds a certification as a Certified Technician in all construction disciplines from INDOT, although the year of acquisition is not specified.
