D. Tyler Hindermann has a diverse professional background with extensive experience in sales and client management. D. Tyler started their career as a Commercial Real Estate Broker at Leggat McCall/Grubb & Ellis, Inc. from 1985 to 1989, and then at Whittier Partners from 1989 to 1992. Following that, they worked as a Group Representative at Sun Life Assurance of Canada from 1992 to 1994, and as an Account Executive at Sheppard Riley Coughlin from 1994 to 1996.
In 1996, Hindermann joined William M. Mercer, Inc. as a Sales Consultant, where they played a crucial role in driving new business development strategies across various practice areas. D. Tyler remained with the company until 2001.
From 2002 to 2006, Hindermann served as the Vice President of Business Development at The Baker Companies. In this role, they managed and executed all new business sales activities for qualified and non-qualified retirement benefit plans. Hindermann's responsibilities included identifying prospects, developing relationships, closing new accounts, and overseeing the design and implementation of retirement plans.
Hindermann's most recent position was as the Vice President at USI Consulting Group, starting in 2006. In this role, they were responsible for sales and client management of all services offered in the Retirement and Investment Advisory Practices. D. Tyler promoted various aspects of defined benefit, defined contribution, and executive benefit plan services, led consulting teams for revenue growth, and managed consulting engagements.
D. Tyler Hindermann attended Middlesex School from 1977 to 1981. D. Tyler then went on to study at Tufts University from 1981 to 1985, where they received a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Economics and Political Science.
