Ian Warthin

Director, Pharmaceutical Strategy at U.S. Pharmacopeial Convention

Ian Warthin has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Ian started their career at History Associates Incorporated as a Research Historian. Ian then moved on to Partners In Health, where they held roles as a Procurement Program Assistant and a Procurement Project Coordinator. Ian then worked at The Frankel Group as a Summer Consultant before joining the U.S. Department of State as a Fall Intern, supporting the Global Entrepreneurship Program. Ian then transitioned to CEB as an Engagement Manager, where they managed a portfolio of engagements for Fortune 500 companies. Ian later joined Kaiser Associates, where they held roles as a Manager and a Managing Consultant, focusing on healthcare consulting. Ian then worked at Dalberg Global Development Advisors as a Project Manager before joining Advance Access & Delivery as a Strategy and logistics support. Currently, Ian is working at US Pharmacopeia as the Director of Pharmaceutical Strategy.

Ian Warthin received their Bachelor's degree in History and Economics from Vassar College in 2005. Ian went on to earn a Master's degree in International Relations with a focus on International Economics and African Studies from Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS) in 2012. During their time at Vassar College, Ian also completed internships in Francophone Europe, specializing in French Studies, from 2003 to 2004. Additionally, they pursued further education and obtained an MBA from The Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth in 2012. Prior to their college studies, Ian completed their high school education at McLean High from 1996 to 2001.
