John Giannone

VP Global Commercial Operations at U.S. Pharmacopeial Convention

John Giannone has had an extensive work history with various companies. John started their career at ARCO Chemical in 1979, where they held multiple roles until 1999. After that, they worked at several other organizations, including Lyondell, Radiant Aviation, and Celeste, where they held sales positions.

In 2008, John joined Cognis - a BASF Company as a Business Manager for the North American region. John then moved to BASF in 2011, where they worked as a New Business Development Manager in the pharmaceutical ingredients and services sector until 2012.

From 2010 to 2013, John was Vice Chair of Administration at IPEC Americas. John then joined Noramco - a Wholly owned Subsidiary of Johnson&Johnson in 2012 as a Director for US Sales and New Business Development.

John's next role was with IPEC-Americas, where they served as Board Chair from 2013 to 2016.

Since 2016, John has been associated with US Pharmacopeia, initially as the Sr. Director of Region and Program Operations. John subsequently held the position of Vice President of Industry Programs for Small Molecules and Growth Programs. Currently, they are the VP of Global Commercial Operations at US Pharmacopeia.

John Giannone attended West Chester University of Pennsylvania from 1990 to 1992, where they obtained an MBA in Business. Prior to that, they studied at Widener University from 1986 to 1989 and earned a BA in Engineering.
