Chief, Behavioral Health Department at USPHS Commissioned Corps

CDR Jeff Showalter, PsyD ABPP, serves as the Chief of the Behavioral Health Department at the Commissioned Corps of the U.S. Public Health Service since May 2012, where responsibilities include oversight of behavioral health and substance abuse programs. Previously, Jeff Showalter held multiple roles in the US Army from April 2008 to May 2012, including Program Director for the Clinical Psychology Residency, Deputy Program Director, and Officer in Charge Psychologist in Iraq. From 2003 to 2008, Jeff Showalter worked as a Master Assessment Specialist at Riveredge Hospital. Jeff Showalter earned a Psy.D. in Clinical Psychology from the Illinois School of Professional Psychology between 1999 and 2005 and a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and Criminal Justice from Missouri Valley College from 1995 to 1999.
