Francisco Alvarado Ramy is a seasoned public health professional with extensive experience at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention since December 2007, where roles include Chief Medical Officer for Quarantine and Border Health Services and Deputy Incident Manager during the Zika Virus Response. Ramy has served in the U.S. Public Health Service Commission Corps as Captain since June 1999 and held the position of Epidemic Intelligence Service Officer at the Centers for Disease Control from July 1999 to July 2001. Ramy's medical residency was completed at Cleveland Clinic from June 1996 to June 1999. Educational qualifications include an MD from the University of Puerto Rico School of Medicine (1992-1996), a BS in Biology from Tulane University (1988-1991), and participation in the Executive Leaders Program in Homeland Defense and Security at the Naval Postgraduate School (2018-2019).
