John W. Diehl

John W. Diehl is a seasoned regulatory professional with extensive experience in the FDA, currently serving as the Director of the Medical Products and Tobacco Policy Branch within the Office of Regulatory Affairs. Since joining the FDA in June 2010, John has held various roles, including Director of the Compliance Branch and Special Assistant to the Compliance Director. John has also been part of the Commissioned Corps of the U.S. Public Health Service since September 2008, currently functioning as a Senior Supervisory Regulatory Management Officer. Previous positions include regulatory specialist at the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services and management analyst at STG International, Inc. John holds a Master of Science in Biotechnology from The Johns Hopkins University and a Bachelor of Science in Biology from The Catholic University of America, with ongoing studies at Harvard Kennedy School.
