Maurice Mayo Jr., MBA, LCSW-C, BCD, RPS, CCTP, serves as the Acting Director of Social Work for the State of Maryland, where responsibilities include directing a Social Work Department valued at $1 million and overseeing clinical services for forensically involved individuals with serious mental illness. With extensive experience in social work management, Maurice has held multiple roles including Assistant Director and Social Work Supervisor, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and overseeing training and supervision of social work staff. Additionally, Maurice is the CEO of Renewed Minds Psychotherapeutic Services, LLC, providing private practice psychotherapy, and serves as a Lieutenant Junior Grade in the Commissioned Corps of the U.S. Public Health Service. Maurice's educational background includes an MBA and MSW from the University of Maryland, along with a Bachelor's degree in African-American Studies, and a certificate in Public Health Management.
