Shamika Brooks, PharmD, MHA, BCPS, has extensive experience in pharmacy leadership and management, currently serving as the Executive Officer in the Office of the Surgeon General within the Commissioned Corps of the U.S. Public Health Service since August 2016. Prior roles include Senior Program Management Officer at the FDA and Chief Pharmacist for the United States Air Force, where responsibilities encompassed managing a $14 million pharmaceutical budget, overseeing pharmacy operations for 553,000 beneficiaries, and coordinating pharmacy and therapeutics committee meetings. Shamika Brooks has also held positions as a Clinical Pharmacist and Pharmacy Practice Resident, and possesses advanced education, including a Master's in Health Administration from The George Washington University and a Doctor of Pharmacy from Shenandoah University.
