Brian L. has extensive experience in the field of finance and accounting. Brian started their career as an Accounting Clerk at Fanch Communications, Inc., where they eventually worked their way up to the role of Accounting Manager. During their time at Fanch Communications, Inc., Brian was responsible for writing financial statements using the Oracle accounting system and managing a team of general ledger accountants.
Brian then moved on to Solutions! Now, Inc., where they were hired as the Controller for the growing payroll processing company. In this role, they established a working general ledger with the Solomon accounting system and managed a team of payroll processors.
Following their role at Solutions! Now, Inc., Brian joined Garmat USA as the Accounting Manager/HR Coordinator. Here, they produced monthly financial statements using MAS 90 software, managed the coordination of month-end tasks, and acted as the lead banking contact and negotiator.
Brian's next position was at Steele Foundation, where they served as the Accounting Manager. In this role, they produced monthly financial statements using Accpac software, consolidated international financial statements, and converted international financial statements to USGAAP.
After their time at Steele Foundation, Brian joined Champion Window Mfg. as the Controller. Here, they produced monthly financial statements using Accpac software, managed a team responsible for various financial tasks, and reviewed and directed affiliate bookkeepers in the Western United States.
Brian's next position was at Motion & Flow Control Products Inc., where they held various roles, starting as Assistant Controller and eventually being promoted to roles such as Controller of Shared Services and Corporate Controller. In these roles, Brian produced monthly financial statements using Prophet 21 software, managed staff for month-end coordination, receivables, payables, financial reporting, and payroll.
Most recently, Brian started working at USRetina as the Director of Finance and Accounting. Brian'sresponsibilities include helping with the monthly close process, data maintenance of GPO member purchases and admin fee received, reviewing trends and creating forward-looking statements, supervising the Accounting and Finance staff, providing training as needed, improving processes, and taking on special projects assigned by the CFO. Brian also assists with the Corporate Insurance renewal process.
Brian L. has a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting from Minnesota State University Moorhead. Brian also has a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) from the University of Phoenix.
