Bretney Massenburge has a strong background in the healthcare industry, specifically in the field of mental health and behavioral health. In 2015, they began their career at UT Health East Texas as a Child and Family Counseling Charge Nurse, where they provided vital care and support to patients and their families. After five years in this role, Bretney moved on to UT Health Northeast in 2020 to take on the position of Behavioral Health Outpatient Nurse Manager. In this role, they managed the outpatient behavioral health services, ensuring the delivery of high-quality care to patients. Currently, Bretney is serving as the Behavioral Health Director of Nursing at UT Health East Texas, a role they began in June 2022. Through their varied experiences, Bretney has gained valuable expertise in the field of mental health nursing and has consistently demonstrated their dedication to providing exceptional care.
Bretney Massenburge holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in Health/Health Care Administration/Management, which they obtained from the University of Texas at Tyler in 2016. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Registered Nursing/Registered Nurse from the same institution, completing their studies between 2009 and 2014.
