Wayne Laskie

Wayne Laskie has extensive experience in IT leadership and management. Wayne has served as the IT Director and provided leadership and direction for clinical systems at UT Health San Antonio since 2017. Prior to that, they were the Associate IT Director at UT MD Anderson Cancer Center from 2005 to 2017. Wayne also worked as the IT Director at Quest Diagnostics from 2003 to 2005, and as the IT Director at Lexicon Genetics from 2000 to 2003. Wayne Laskie started their career as an IT Manager and later became the IT Director at Valentis\GeneMedicine from 1994 to 2000. Wayne has additional experience as a Sr. Lan/Wan and Unix Admin at Talent Tree Personnel, a Network Administrator at Metallgessellschaft Corp., and an Applications and Systems Programmer at Transworld Oil, U.S.A.

Wayne Laskie attended Sam Houston State University from 1981 to 1985, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Computing Science. Prior to that, they completed their high school education at Huntsville High from 1978 to 1981, without achieving any specific degree or field of study. In 2011, they also obtained a certification in CPHIMS from HIMSS.
