Katherine Webb

Katherine (Katie) Hewitt is an experienced agricultural professional with a strong background in plant science and research. As Small Farm Manager at The Gilcrease Orchard from May 2023 to December 2023, Katherine managed the production and harvest of 10 acres of urban farmland, also serving as a public communicator for agritourism activities. Prior experience includes a role as Recruitment Intern for the Plants, Soils, and Climate Department at USU College of Agriculture and Applied Sciences, where Katherine organized educational content and engaged with prospective students. As Plant Science Club President, Katherine facilitated educational activities for fellow students, while an Undergraduate Research Assistant role allowed for grant-funded research and contributions to a published scientific paper. Katherine holds a degree in Plant Science from Utah State University, completed in 2023.
