Matthew Pinner

Matthew Pinner has extensive work experience in various roles related to equity, access, and law. Matthew is currently the Executive Director of the Office of Equity at Utah State University, a position they assumed in February 2022. Prior to this, they worked at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, where they held multiple roles, including Associate Director and Interim Assistant Director in the EEO Division - Office for Access and Equity. Matthew also served as an EEO Investigator during their time there.

Before their work in higher education, Pinner worked as a Human Resources Manager at Jimmy John's from 2015 to 2018. Matthew also gained legal experience as a Senior Associate Attorney at Spiros Law, P.C., and as an Attorney at Schum Law Office and The Minton Firm. Additionally, they started their legal career as a Law Clerk at Michael J. Caithamer and Associates.

Matthew Pinner earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing and Business Administration from Illinois State University from 2000 to 2004. Subsequently, they obtained a Juris Doctor degree in Law from the Southern Illinois University School of Law from 2004 to 2007.
