Cheryl Marriott has a diverse work experience that spans over several companies and industries. Earlier in their career, Cheryl held positions such as HR Project Advisor at GSMA, Head of HR and Operations at Bluefin, HR Manager at WCRF, and HR Manager at Context. In these roles, they took on responsibilities such as improving employee relations, supporting managers in performance management, executing plans during reorganization, and implementing best practices in recruitment and induction procedures.

Cheryl Marriott earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics, German, and Psychology from London Guildhall University from 1991 to 1996. Cheryl later pursued a Master's degree in Human Resources Management/Personnel Administration, General from Kingston University from 2001 to 2003. Prior to their higher education, Cheryl attended Nonsuch High School from 1982 to 1987. Additionally, they obtained certifications in "Agile Ways of Working for HR, Culture & Organisational Change" from PXO Culture in an undetermined year, and "Agile Foundations" from LinkedIn in 2020.
