Jan Odijk

Jan Odijk is a distinguished Professor of Language and Speech Technology at Utrecht University, where tenure began in 2001. Prior to this, Jan held the position of Senior Director of Linguistic Resources at Nuance from December 2001 to April 2008, and served on the board of ELRA as Vice-President from 2000 to 2006. Jan's earlier career includes a role as Senior Director of Linguistic Resources at Lernout and Hauspie Speech Products NV from 1997 to 2001, as well as a researcher at the Institute for Perception Research IPO from 1992 to 1997 and at Philips Research Labs from 1985 to 1997. Jan completed education at Utrecht University between 1974 and 1981.
