Magdalena Hinojosa

Magdalena Hinojosa has over 22 years of work experience in strategic enrollment and student affairs. Magdalena is currently serving as the Sr. Vice President for Strategic Enrollment and Student Affairs at The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley since March 2020. Previously, they held the position of Vice President for Strategic Enrollment from February 2016 to March 2020 at the same institution. Prior to that, they worked at The University of Texas - Pan American from 2005 to 2020 as the Sr Associate Vice President for Enrollment Services. Magdalena also served as the Registrar & Director of Admissions at Texas A&M University-Kingsville from 2000 to 2005 and worked as an Account Manager at SunGard Higher Ed from 1998 to 2000.

Magdalena Hinojosa earned a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree in Management from Texas A&M University-Kingsville in 1989-1991. Later, they pursued a Master of Public Administration (MPA) degree in Public Administration from Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi in 1995-1997. Furthermore, they obtained a Doctor of Education (Ed.D.) degree in Educational Leadership from Texas A&M University-Kingsville in 2001-2004.
