Adelle Zaira Roopchand

Adelle Zaira Roopchand serves as a University Lecturer at The University of the West Indies in the Departments of Food Production and Agricultural Economics and Extension since March 2023. Additionally, Adelle is a Post Graduate Programme Coordinator and Researcher/Project Coordinator for projects involving the University of Alberta and the University of the West Indies. Previous experience includes extensive roles as an independent professional advisor in communications, media, and public relations, alongside editing responsibilities for the Caribbean Agricultural Extensionist Professionals Network. Adelle has worked with various organizations, including the Technical Centre for Agricultural and Rural Cooperation, contributing to climate-resilient agriculture and regional agro-tourism policy development. Educational qualifications include degrees in Mass Communication/Media Studies and Management from the University of the West Indies.
