Yanna Karbushev

Yanna Karbushev is currently the Secretary & Head of Financial Operations at UXPressia. Before that, they were a Project Manager at Sephora USA, Inc. from August 2017 to June 2018. There, they managed multiple projects with respect to expanding Sephora's Mobile App's capabilities. This included sprint planning, bug scrubs, backlog grooming, etc. Yanna also built good rapport with remote teams as 3rd party contractors were heavily leveraged. Lastly, they built weekly status reports that provided clarity to leadership. Prior to Sephora, Yanna was a Project Manager at Art.com from August 2016 to August 2017. There, they managed various types of projects within budget by maintaining well-organized plans and roadmaps, prioritizing development hours, eliminating roadblocks, monitoring risk, prioritizing deliverables, and communicating clear expectations to key stakeholders and cross-functional teams of UX designers and engineers. Yanna introduced and implemented Agile methods with phased-approaches to improve the ability to respond to change and mitigate the risk of project "unknowns". Yanna also successfully managed the team's transition from Waterfall to Scrum methodology by doubling the team's velocity within 3 sprints. Furthermore, they maintained average velocity growth via sprint metrics and analysis, retrospectives, burndown charts, daily standups, adjustment of team members/role:role ratios, and other scrum ceremonies. In addition, they managed dashboards and time tracking for project billing and attendance to executive teams. Yanna also improved go-live success by participating in all aspects of quality assurance prior to product delivery, including creating use cases, cross-browser compatibility testing, mobile/tablet device testing, multi-storefront testing, and end-user acceptance testing. Lastly, they led the planning process and drove implementation for cross-organizational technology projects including customer-facing domestic/international website products, 3rd party integrations, and internal back office applications to support rapid growth.

Yanna Karbushev has a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from San Francisco State University. Yanna is certified from the California Board of Realtors and has a Notary License and Real Estate License.
