Ben Vanneste

Ben Vanneste is a medical doctor and professor specializing in prostate cancer brachytherapy, currently serving at UZ Gent since April 2022. With extensive experience in radiation oncology, Vanneste worked at MAASTRO clinic from January 2013 to April 2022, where research focused on reducing rectal toxicity in prostate cancer radiation therapy. Prior roles include residency at The Netherlands Cancer Institute, a fellowship in brachytherapy at Gustave Roussy, and additional residency experiences at AMC and UZA. Educational background includes a PhD in medicine from Maastricht University, along with significant training in radiation oncology from prestigious institutions, complemented by medical degrees from KU Leuven.
