Jurgen Lemiere

Jurgen Lemiere serves as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Oncology, specializing in pediatric oncology at KU Leuven since October 2018. In addition to this role, Jurgen is a Visiting Professor in the Department of Orthodontics, Faculty of Medicine at the same institution, focusing on teaching and psychosocial research. As a Behavioral Therapist at Group Practice Horizon since October 2019, Jurgen works with children and adolescents dealing with developmental and emotional challenges. At Vrije Universiteit Brussel, Jurgen has held various temporary teaching positions in psychology courses since the 2019-2020 academic year. Furthermore, Jurgen has been a Neuropsychologist at UZ Leuven since December 1999, with responsibilities spanning clinical neuropsychology and research within pediatric hematology and oncology. Jurgen completed a PhD in Psychology at KU Leuven, with a doctoral thesis investigating cognitive changes in Huntington's disease.
